Itinerary

When does my tour start?

This tour can commence to suit your cruise ship porting times.

When do I return to port after my tour/excursion?

We schedule your return to port to ensure you arrive in plenty of time to re-join your ship - normally 1 hour before the scheduled sailing time. Where you have free time after the end of your tour, then it is your responsibility to ensure you re-join the ship on time. All tour times are based on Shore time (ie local time, - not ship time)

Your tour begins when you are met by your fully qualified and very experienced tour guide and after a brief introduction the tour will begin!

The first stage of the tour is a trip around the capital city. You will take in such sites as the Plaza de Armas which translates literally as weapons square! This is central point in the city and is laid out in a grid like fashion which would be made it easier to distribute weapons to the defenders of the city in the event of a siege…   Other famous places that you will see on this tour include the city cathedral, the Presidential House "La Moneda" and the Constitution Square.

The next part of the tour will be a visit to a Winery in the Casablanca Valley which although has only been planting vines since the 1980’s has become the find of the century and is now an established producer of quality Chilean wines. After wine tasting and perhaps purchasing some produce it will be time for lunch and you will get the opportunity to sample delicacies at a local restaurant.

Next we will board the air-conditioned transport and continue the excursion, we will pass by the picturesque beach resort of Renaca and continue on our journey which will lead us to Vina Del Mar which is also known as the Garden City. There will be plenty to feast yours eyes upon as we pass by the famous Floral clock, Libertard Avenue, Las Salinas as well as several privately owned hilltop luxury residences.  The stunning Brunet castle is actually owned by the Chilean police department and used for social events! But even that castle cannot compare with the Palacio Presidencial, which is used by the Chilean President as his summer residence. Moving on from here the tour will take you past the mountainous district of Valparaiso. We then will pass by several other important landmarks before (if time permits) experiencing an amazing ride in a funicular elevator to view the stunning landscape before returning to port.
