This is a Private Tour
You will be met by your English speaking driver at the port of Livorno, who will then take you to the famous city of Pisa; one of the four main Maritime Republics of Italy, until silting of the river left the city 6 miles inland, ending its naval ambitions.
Pisa is home to countless relics, some dating back to the Roman Empire. But none are as famous as the indomitable Leaning Tower, one of the most iconic buildings in the world, attracting thousands of tourists each year.
But that isn’t to say that the Leaning Tower is the only attraction Pisa has to offer. There are countless other structures, all just as immaculate as the leaning tower. Take the Piazza Dei Miracoli for example, the cathedral where Galileo Galilei, esteemed inventor, was inspired to invent the pendulum clock.
But Pisa isn’t all there is to this tour. After Pisa, you’ll then continue onto the beautiful city of Lucca, another one of Italy’s architectural gems. Famous for its intact Renaissance-era walls, Lucca is home to many medieval basilica-form churches, some dating back to as far as the 8th century.
Lucca’s pedestrian island allows visitors to wander around freely, and to enjoy the shops in peace.
At the end of the tour you will be taken back to the port of Livorno in plenty of time for your cruise ships departure.
Please Note: Site admissions are only discounted for guests up to the age of 18 yrs old, who present a valid ID card or Passport. There are no other Concessions.
