- Afternoon Excursions: 12:00pm; 14:00pm

This excursion lasts for approximately 4 hours.

The meeting point for this tour is in St Mark's Square, where you will be met by your representative to commence the tour. This excursion is a spectacular way of seeing the famous three islands in Venice - Murano, Burano & Torcello.

The tour begins with a sail past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Sant'Elena Gardens (known as the 'green lung' of Venice) and the Lido, famous for its beaches, making its first stop at the glassmaking island of Murano.

Murano: This is the most famous and probably the most visited of the three islands and is known around the world for its handmade glass. During tour you will have the opportunity to visit an artistic glass workshop and be able to buy souvenirs to take home. The glass showroom houses many souvenirs, both little and grand. If you prefer not to see the demonstration, you will have time to explore the island before our voyage to the next island, Burano.

Burano: The most picturesque of the three islands, Burano is famous for its hand lacemaking. The streets are lined with brightly-coloured fishermen's houses, making this a beautiful place to visit as well as a great place to buy souvenirs and presents.

Torcello: With a population of just 60 people, Torcello is the smallest of the three islands and is home to the ancient Basilica of Santa Maria Assumpta - which houses magnificent mosaics - and the Church of Santa Fosca, which dates from the 11th and 12th Centuries.

- Burano Lace Making Factory

NB If you are travelling from the cruise port, this will take approximately 25 minutes via water taxi (own expense), or approximately 1 hour if you are walking to the meeting point.
